More info required:
1. Multiple IPs assigned from ISP or just one?
2. Modem brand and bus type?
3. Router brand/model?
4. Access point or Wireless router?
5. Why are you not using DHCP?
1. My service provider uses PPPoE. Don't know it that means if it's multiple.
2.Wireless DWL-650 D-Link PCMIA.
3.D-Link Enhanced 2.4 GHz Wireless Router DI-614.
4.Wireless Router.
5.I'm already assigned one from ameritech "sbc" automatically. When i assign an ip my wireless internet ip manually it does not work.
Thanks,
I'm going to be out for two weeks if i can't find an internet connection. When i get back i'll probably call ameritech if i can't find a solution.

that might be your problem. If you disable 1 router and use the other with DHCP, i think you'll be ok. :D
Very funny. I think bill was asking if i had a router and an access point. I only have 1 wireless router with a dsl modem and wireless cards. Hope this clears things up.

Does the D-Link router function as a DHCP server? Sometimes, it's best to let the router configure, write down the gateway and DNS config and then switch to static IPs.
Thought that is what i tried before. Maybe i should try it again and turn everything off and back on. I give it a try when i get back in town.

Sorry. I wasn't try to get wise or anything. I was just reading straight from your post. Some people have tried to run 2 routers in their network before.
Definitely do DHCP if you can. If you're still doing static IPs, make sure to get the default gateway also. You might also have to enter your DNS info. DHCP will do all of this for you automatically.
