these 2 looks like same hdd but second one costs $17 more.can anyone find difference between these 2?

They look the same to me, except one says it has "cache/data size=none" while the other says "data buffer=2mb" Maybe one dosen't have any cache? Beats me.

also their part numbers are different.im thinking.. maybe buy.com is trying to rip off some dumb customers.

The price diff is the amount usually seen between "OEM" and "Retail" .
This means usually that the Retail package includes the 40pin 80wire double grounded cable..
My guess is that they left off the word "Retail" off the description

They aren't showing any 45gig deskstars at all.
