I found some DIMMs from a Mac, labelled "3.3V". The pin pattern matches but is this actually OK to use in an older PC? What voltage is PC RAM??

Bigjakkstaffa 07-07-2002, 08:27 AM Yeah i too have found web sites selling relativley cheap RAM, however it only tends to be labelled PC133 3.3V (no indication as to CL etc), what exactly does this mean as to the quality of the RAM for usage?? --Jakk:t BipolarBill 07-07-2002, 09:08 AM All 168-pin SDRAM is 3.3V. DDR and RDRAM = 2.5V. Ask Rugor. ;) I wouldn't venture a guess as to whether all 168-pin SDRAM is the same. BipolarBill 07-07-2002, 09:11 AM Oops! From what I see at Crucial.com. Mac and PC SDRAM are actually interchangeable! FijiJohn 07-07-2002, 03:52 PM I cannot even figfure out how fast this stuff is, altho one has a "-6" on it that I assume means 60 nanosecond. Oh well, as long as it won't blow up my little test PC maybe I'll give it a try. SysOpt.com
