I have a CAS2 PC100 sdram 64 meg and a CAS3 PC100 64 meg bar. Will it hurt to install them together or will it cause my system problems?

No they should work fine together...as long as you run it at cas3 otherwise it will be overclocking your ram.

What do I have to do that? I'm kind of new to this. Thanks.

Verncat:

Enter your BIOS (or CMOS) settings at the post screen. Many computers require that you hit the Del key before Windows boots. Some computers require different keys to access the BIOS (Basic Input Output). Once inside, go to chipset (if my memory serves me) and you will likely see CAS or latency settings for memory, i.e.,CAS 2, CAS 3. Usually one toggles the + or - key to select the proper CAS setting. Once on CAS 3 per Starmaster5's suggestion, save the change and exit BIOS. The computer will boot through to Windows on its own.

Post any more questions.

Good luck.
