Just bought an old one of these - has 192Mb PC100 SDRAM
Shop I bought it fro fitted a PIII 500 in it.

Seems to be working ok - a few hours only so far, but loaded Win 2k way faster than my AMD K6-2 500... I'm not sure if the board 'really' supports PIII or this speed though - might I run into problems...? (Quick Ref guide from Fujitsu doesn't even mention PIII as a possibility)

Any ideas?

Check System Information to see what CPU speed it reports. That's the true test. Update the BIOS if you can.

Looks good from System Info, also ran SiSoft benchmarks: a lot better than K6-2 500

That, plus the much faster Win 2k installation from CD-Rom makes me wonder if there's something up with my K6-2 500 MVP3...

Found BIOS upgrade
