I'm getting disconnected somehow from a site, does gozilla or appz like this need support from a site to restore broken downloads, or do they work on most sites?

Any recommendations on a app to do this with?
Thanks in acvance - Biff http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Yes, the site, or more specifically, the server you're downloading from needs to support resuming. As for doing this on the server end, I'd like to know what it is that determines this...

Gozilla shows ability for the resume on most all sites that I have seen for the last two years or so.

It has to be the best free software that I've ever seen.

Besides resume, it searches for the fastest ftp site for you, and if the download location is broken, it'll search for the file under different addresses, kewl,, huh ?

You were right on there DrVette, did the job very nicely, first time too. Had adds coming out my ears for a while, but figure it's just a small price to pay.

Thanks everyone for your help http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

i use a different program that alble to do the exact same tasks called getright. Doesn't godzilla install spyware onto your system? i'm not sure if getright does but godzilla runs under ads until you register it.
