Not exactly sure where my problem lies, video card and/or monitor, other. Monitor will start to display vertical lines that get increasingly thicker until eventually I cannot see the data on the screen. After this begins the vertical lines appear to be effected by mouse movements. I am using a InteliMouse Optical USB/PS2. I get the same results whether mouse is connected as USB or PS2. This started happening after I installed the A7V266-C motherboard. If I re-boot the problem goes away for a period of time. I have not been able to pin-point how frequently this happens and/or what action is causing this.
I have a AMD XP1800+, 512 DDR, older Mag InnoVision DX17F and Diamond Viper 770 video card.

Sounds like either a video card heat issue or drivers. Is the fan on the card working?

Which Windows version is this?

If you can test it out with another monitor/video card. You might try re-installing your video drivers. As Bill suggested, it is possible that the card's fan is dead/dying.
