ok I had this problem a long time ago and the fix was simple..but I can't remember what it was http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif.. well I reformated my Hard drive, but I can't get it's driver to load properly. When I try to loaded them threw device manager with the floppy it dosn't find them... The hard drive is a Maxtor 30 gig for drive C: and E: and drive D: is a maxtor 27 gig HD.. I use a ABIT be6 mobo, 366@550 celron.. I'm going to be reformating agin because I screwed up with the partitions but I'd still like to beable to fix this problem, because it will happen when I reformat agin.

The fact that the "PCI Mass Storage Controller" is in the device list twice bothers me. Winders is sometimes easily confused. I'm going to suggest that you delete one occurance then do the "Driver Update" function from Device Manager.
The BE6 seems to have the same kind of architecture as the BX133-RAID in that they both have an extra disk controller onboard. Therefore, the driver installation should be dirt-simple. The procedure should also be doc'ed in the owner's manual; perhaps a review would be helpful.

Crockett, I've found that when installing fresh drives, only install the master first, then when everything is up and running, shut it down and add the second drive.
I used to get that on my be6 after a fresh install. The highpoint driver install for the ata66 off the CD-ROM used to fix that for me. Two exclamations is due to two ata66 IDE channels.
