Hello
I am on the internet most of the time, but when ever someone rings up, my internet connection stops or hangs up.
I have herd of software that enable incoming calls to be palyed by your computer speakers, while on the internet.
I just want a program or a way to stop getting disconnected
thanks
Martin......

Do you have call waiting? When a call comes in that'll disconnect your internet. If you do have call waiting you need to have the modem dial '*70,' before your ISP number.

Also, there is a new modem standard called V.94 (I think that's what it's called). When you are on the internet and get a call, it pops up a message asking if you want to take the call. If you say yes, it puts the internet connection on hold for up to 5 minutes and allows you to take the call. When you hang up the phone, it resumes your internet. If you reject the call, it just gives the person a busy signal or puts them into your voice mail, depending on your options. You would have to buy one of the new modems to get this feature.
OR, you could just take the previous suggestion, save some money, and disable call waiting.
