I've got 2 computers sharring a DSL connection using 4 port SMC Barricade Router and a Speedstream modem 5260. Nic cards are Kingston KNE111 10\100. The more I surf on Comp.#1 (whitch has the Routers software on it) the slower it gets till I'm surfing at 33.3 speeds. Also, when playing on line games, it does just fine till I disconnect, then takes forever to bring up any web page. Rebooting the comp. to regain sys. resources is no help. The only thing that helps is to reset the Barricade, then all is fine. While Comp. # 2 constantly surfs fine without slowing even when comp.#1 is bogging. I've rebuilt the protocals, lowered the MTU's in the Routers software (PPPOE) with no help. Upgraded the Routers firmware. Also tried differant NIC card. While comp.#1 is 700mhz and runs fine except for the surfing trouble. Comp#2 is 450mhz. Both running Win.98.Tech suppot at SMC is a joke, time consuming and very irratating.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The router has issues, obviously. I would replace/RMA it.

Thanks for your help, but if it was the Router, wouldn't Comp.#2 also have trouble surfing? Tried defferant ports, no luck.

Thanks again for your reply

Logic? If resetting the router fixes the issue, the router is the issue.
