I hear a lot of talk about setting ram speed to 33. It is supposed to help to overclock.
How do I select this setting. ? I have checked my soft menue and I can't seem to find it. I have a BH6 SS bios.Cel II 566.
Thanks

i think you are referring to a via chip based system which will allow you to up the memory speed by + 33 mhz.
The bh6 has a i440bx chipset which doesn't allow this feature so there is no way of increasing you ram speed by 33 it will have to stay at the speed of your fsb.

greed, but you can raise your front side bus from 66 to 100 and get that cpu up to 850. Heck I ran my 566 Celermine at 961. I would not expect that now though since only the first chips did that. 850 seems to be the average chip speed now. The fsb can be hanged int he BIOS. you must set the processor speed range to USER DEFINED and then raise the frequency from 66 to 100 in small incriments until you see where you need to raise the voltage.
As always, be sure to get good cooling (better thant he retail POS...I recomend a Golden Orb for Celerons.)

Thanks for responding.
We may be talking about the same thing.
I was referring to dropping the ram setting to 33 from 1/2 the fsb speed. I am running at 100. So the ram is at 50 ( I believe)
I already am overclocked to 850, and am attempting to increase my 3dmark2000 score beyond 3184. I am now niffing out little tips & tricks to push it up a bit more.
Someone else said " lower pio mode & disable udma " My BH6 board, like you say, may not have the option to do some of these.
Thanks
