memory count up error?

Hi All, try this one!
I have recently taken out my old 32 meg simms and installed a 128 mb dimm .
The system does the POST test and counts up the memory as usual but now it does it THREE times instead of the usual one!!!
It adds up to the correct amount of ram and says O.K. as it should.
Then I get an error message saying "memory test failed".
I press enter and the system loads as normal?
Any ideas on the reason for the multiple count up and the error message?

Go into bios and enable 'QUICK POWER ON SELF TEST', or similar and it will only count once.
