Have you updated your definitions?

Keep in mind that heuristics tries to predict viruses based on behavior. It's wrong quite a bit.

As long as Micro Scanner has the supposed viruses in quarantine, you're ok.

I would never waste money on a virus scanner !! it's just a scam !! I am sure virus makers work for virus protectors... its just a big game for them.

Backdoor and Back orifice... they are trojans.... And wether or not viruses are made up by anti-virus software companies, they can still be quite damaging if you leave them run rampant on your computer.
AVG 6 is a FREE, get it FREE anti-virus program. you can get it at
www.grisoft.com it updates weekly, and I have been using it for years. So if you want to end up eventually kicking and beating you machine because viruses and trojans have rendered it useless while the on-line scanning utilities bloat your dos files, go for it du-ude

Norton seems to do things well. We are running NOron Enterprise Edition at work. We monitor about 40 computers from a server. Whenever any computer has a virus it warns us and cleans it up. It has been doing a great job. Also we run Virus protection on our E-mail server. That way we hardly ever see any viruses get into the system. It is kind of like a double barrier.

B.O. is a trojan tool. If you've intentionally downloaded it but never installed it you're safe. The trick to using tools like that is to know how they work and what they do. If you never intentionally downloaded it, you're in for a ride trying to remove it manually. In the case of any virus infection, I always format just to be on the safe side. Not that it happens everyday...I think its happened twice in the last three years.
