I am running win 2K at the moment, I am having problems running games. After downloading current drivers for my video card and the latest directX they still wont run properley.
The picture flickers or is garbled.

I decided to try win 98SE again to see if they will run
since I know they work on 98SE. It may be a bad video card
who knows : (

I have a P3/450
OS 2k PRO
Asus V7100 32MB SDRAM

I also used to get the asus icon in my Taskbar, I dont have that anymore WEIRD

Thanks in advance
Shaun

PS Also in add/remove programs under ASUS it has no file size
I find this odd also.

Did you install Service Pack 2 for Win2k? That may well fix your problems if you havent.

Excessive flickering is a refresh rate problem.

This applies to Win2K as well.

Yeah refresh rate would be my second guess, also you could try disabling Vsync.

1. Right click on your desktop and click on properties
2. Click on the settings tab
3. Click on advanced
4. Click on GeForce 2 MX 400 (in the top left)
5. Click on additional properties
6. Click on OpenGL settings
6. Next to where it says Vertical Sync - select the always off option and hit ok several times to close all the windows :)
