I recently upgraded from a PII 350 to a PIII 700E on a Abit BH6 board w/ 128 PC100. However, I honestly haven't noticed a performance increase.

Can anyone recommend a particular benchmarking utility or any other way of being able to 'see' the performance increase? I'm willing to put my PII350 back in...run the benchmark tests....put the PIII700E in and run them again to compare.

I did see that Sisoft Sandra mentioned in the CPU section of this site. Is this a good program to use in this instance?

Thanks,
Brian

Sandra is a good benchmark and used by most people here - there is a free version and it is a small download.

Another little benchmark is "Wintune" found at www.winmag.com (http://www.winmag.com)

There are a number of others, jsut type "benchmarks" or "benchmarking software" in the search engine of your choice.
