I was just gonna post about this...ya beat me to it. Yes I am having problems too. I use the radio part of their browser and the search engine for it goes through their web page. I was trying to dial up a station in Chicago. No luck. Maybe they have gone out of business =þ

Same here with MSN; IE says it can't open the "search" page. Hotmail works for me, though.

You went to www.microsoft.com (http://www.microsoft.com) and it worked? Odd, it still doesn't work here.

Actually, I'm having problems with MANY sites, not just MS. I thought it was my ISP at first or my system, but email and ICQ are working...

SysOpt is running fine!

08:40 am (cet)...

Just clicked on www.microsoft.com (http://www.microsoft.com) link in Gomer's post, says website found, waiting for reply, but nothing is happening..its prolly going to time out or something.

...its prolly billy boy, he's pissed off that he lost the case, so he went around switched off all his servers...the monkey prolly thinks all the comps in the world are hooked up to him and that he can down the internet....

Hi,
I clicked on a link in one of the articles referredto above and first was directed to Microsoft UK and then got a page telling me the address didn't exist that it had either moved or gone out of business.
Is this the beginning of the end or just a procedure to prove that their Web Hosting will be as buggy and quirky as their OS's have always been?

Router problems? I heard DNS. Who knows... I'm just laughing.

The Microsoft servers are now back up and running," she said on Wednesday afternoon. She added some users would still experience delays for some time because it would take time for the sites to be replicated across the 180 domain name servers.

Sounds like a web dns admin is going to be looking for a new company to work for!

MS was stupid enough to house all of their primary http/web services under than same subnet. They deserved to be attacked just for for their ignorance regarding simple site security! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

They got DoS attacked all thru yesterday, 1/25/01, so some people were still experiencing problems... like me... I'm still laughing at them.
