The taskmanager in win nt has a cool graphical interface showing how much memory is in use and how much of the processor is being used, also the most important part about the Nt taskmanager is the processes part wich shows all the programs loaded in memory and the ability to shut down unwanted applications. netscape for example sometimes remaines in the memory after i shut it down in the application part off the taskmanager
so i have to go to the processes part and terminate it there.
My question is : can i get a similar taskmanager for win98 Se ?

I'm sure there's a good 3rd-party Task Manager out there for W9X. Use Google to search, or wait for more responses.
W95's Power Toy WinTop, which is very good & will run on W98, does everything EXCEPT enabling shutting down apps. Old Winprobe 5.0 from Quarterdeck could shut down single processes.

I also use Powertoys' WinTop, and it DOES allow to shutdown apps : launch the program, click on the process you want to shutdown (NOT the main system processes, like Kernel http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif ) and choose Properties, then select the Priority tab, and there, if the process allows it, u'll see "Terminate Process Now" ...
