this might seam an ez prob, but i'm confused. i've burnt a project from DV onto a vcd, yet i can't play it on either windows media or power dvd. if i need to change an option in a menu, what and where? My cam is actually ntsc, and im in the uk (pal). does this make a difference? me thinks not coz i've burnt a dvd and it works fine. but can't always do this coz dvdr disks r expensive
(using pinacle express)
thanks!!

hello eee-tee and welcome to sysopt my fellow lancastrian comrade. I cant think of a reason if you know what your doing thay the VCD's wont work but i have always used this program quickVCD
http://download.com.com/3000-2194-5051987.html?tag=lst-0-3
and it ha played all kinds of VCD's for me (some really bad designed ones) and i havent had a prob with it yet. So if you can try it out and see if you still have the problem

i've actually already got quick vcd, but i would be slightly put off from the bad feedback its got from people whove downloaded it......
any way , it does't work, so any other advice? im gonna burn another disk to see if this one works

ok then, i cant think of any obveuos reason why it wont work, it could be million of things. What program do you use for burning?
+ Having NTSC will be a problem you will have to set it to pal. But it shouldnt not work the picture should just be crud thats all

luckily enough, i've sorted the vcd problem out- the software that i use was playing up. got one more question- for video, what type of dvdr disk should i use? i no of dvdr data, and dvdr general- or does it depend on manufacturer/ drive?
:)
