WinXP has native VIA chipsets support. It's even stated on VIA's homepage (BipolarBill quoted it on some post few days ago ...).

Guilty as charged. I loaded them on my MSI KT3 anyway. ;)

I just did a dual-boot with 98 and XP and didn't install any 4in1's since I've heard they can cause problems at times. So far its working fine without anything figure the only thing I may need is the opengl driver if somebody can verify needing this would help. Should go check at nvidia since MS is a hassle to search for anything.

on my Abit KR7A-RAID system, I can't get AGP 4x or DMA support for my hard/cdrom/cdrw drives unless I load the 4n1's.

Got the 4 in 1 for my shuttle ak31, built in sound card was really messed up, sounded like whistles every once in a while instead of the sound I was supposed to get. Got the seperate audio driver and now everything works fine.

You definitely need the newest 4in 1. The one you get on asus cd(comes in the box with your mobo is old and it should not even be there!!!). Go to viaarena.com and get it. This is what a guy from Asus tech support told me to do. It will enable AGP texture acceleration in Direct X diagnostics. Go there to see if it is enabled. I got the same mobo so I think I know what is your problem. New 4 in 1 fit it. You may want to reinstall your nvidia drivers after doing so
