Hello World,

Just wondering if there is anything I should know before I atempt to fix a friends IBM machine.

I am asking because I have heard of people haveing problems formating other PC's of that type.

best bet is to goto the IBM.Com site and check out the model type and see if they give you a special loader for it, if it's a laptop you may find some specials that go on the hard disk before the OS.
if you register and log in you tend to find the IBM site more user friendly.

I formatted it and installed win 2K and it detected all the hardware and everything went fine.
