Well, I know lots of people in britain say that Oxford and Cambrideg universities are a bit over the top, and as of today i have to agree. I am now very drunk (3MP) and I have only spent £4 today going to my enigineering garden party.

Does anyone else have this, or am I very very luckey?

I don't wanna drink and I don't like it much. I drink sometimeswhen there is a big party or some selebrity, but not frequently. I don't like the state after being drunk.

Said before doesn't not touch BEER !!!

The blackouts, and wondering how I got where I awoke at finally convinced me.:)

Alcohol is nice. In reasonable quantities. Like every other thing. Some people like it. Some don't. I do :)
I even like it more coz I don't know what's "hangover" is. When I drink too much I just fall asleep, when I wake the morning (or the evening :) ) after I sometimes have some memory blackouts, sometimes I don't even remember how did I ever made it home, but I always feel well, no matter how much I drank before. I can even do it for two or three days in the row. After about three days of such a "lifestyle" I usually "losing" the ability to "sense" alcohol, in other words I can't get drunk anymore, no matter how much I'm drinking :(
And this is a good thing, it means I would never become an alcoholic
But again, that's me :)
Example ? Sorry, I don't think I can post it here. I'll probably have to edit my own post to take all the "PG13" stuff out :)
Maybe next time  ;)

My problem with alcohol is that I can't drink it as I am allergic to it and it makes me break out quite severly.
Seems I break out in stupidity, violence, and after long term use, poverty. But that's just me. Luckily I havent had that problem in over 16 years thanks to the 12 + 12 and HP (not hewlett packard).

I was in treatment for alcoholism 14 years ago, the average age was 30yrs. I am the sole surviver. A person who feels sorry for people who dont drink probably has the illness himself?

Was this post in jest, or are you serious?
No hangovers (maintenance level of EtOH in the blood),
Blackouts and memory loss,
Insensitivity (or hyper-sensitivity) to EtOH

If serious, you should meet a couple buds of mine, Bill and Bob. If tongue-in-cheek, I hope others realize the irony/sarcasm...

Let's hear it for A.A.! I just got 5 years sober in April. I can't tell you how happy I am not drinking and drugging anymore. My life is so amazing now that I can't believe it. To those who can party and keep it from becoming a problem, my hat is off to you. I couldn't. I had some fun partying but in the end it wasn't fun at all. It's all about life at the top now. Cheers.

3 things I cant stay away from.

I can drink so much that I dont remember where I've been or who I've seen - sometimes a blessing ;) I get in fights . . .
I can take substances which alter my mind or body in crazy ways . . .and I ALWAYS have a new girls number in my phone when I wake the next morning.

YET . . . . I hold an absolutely mint job with my own office and lots of money, mint girlfriend (of 2 yrs), nice car, and I am a completely different person through the week !

I know I should grow up and I think slowly I am but I DO find it hard to say "NO".

I have so much respect for people who dont drink because I dont think I could ever do it. I'm not an alcoholic . . .my weekends are just wild :D

Oh yeah . . .going Ibiza in 5 weeks :x

For people who say those who dont drink are sad . . .try it for a couple of months . . .see if YOU can do it ;)

Alter your body?! I had some of that once, I grew two more arms and my right leg fell off ;)
I remember reading somewhere that binge drinking (ie weekend pissups) are actually worse for you than sustained levels of fairly heavy drinking. Maybe I just made that up to cover for myself :D

Man I can't believe the UNDERAGE drinking!! Man young people have NO sense. I love watching drunk people which is enough incentive for me to keep it a one or two drink level IF I drink at all. If you have a teen kid, I will bet you 100$ that at some point they have been offered alcohol and I will bet you 75$ that they've been FAR more than slightly encourage to take it. Watch you kids, please.. One of my buddy's got killed by another teen driver who was drunk last year and I will never forget this. Please, keep an eye on your kids!

Well said ,morpheus kain.

Perhaps the issue, Morpheus Kain, is that alcohol is such a taboo and the age restrictions inplace upon it, which act as an incentive for underage drinking as it something younger people see as being cool because theyre not allowed to do it. Perhaps a little relax in the laws would prevent some of the problems you have described with undergae drinking.

As well as playing with computers I'm also an emt. This is the 1st week of school being out up here and all the latest graduates of highschool who now have cars and motorcycles and the pressure of school off them are out partying. We have already lost 3 of the graduating class of 2002 2 in cars, one on a motorcycle. All three alcohol related.

Yes, tragic isnt it, however the question must be raised is where are the kids getting the money from to do this. I am still 16 and cannot afford to buy my own booze, instead i drink my friends most of the time. Perhaps the problem is that in todays society youngsters have too much money and not a lot to do with it, which leads to them spending it on drigs, alcohol etc, and thus they become a victim of their own wealth.
