Sometimes when I fall asleep I dream about a real life dilema that I wasnt prepared for. Last night I dreamed My house was surronded by forest and a forest fire was coming my way. I knew I had a few minutes to get things in order before the whole house would be engulfed with flames. My dilema was, what to take out with me. I knew I couldnt carry a lot. So I packed up a lot of junk in my room in a box. I made the wrong decisions.

I took:

My coin Collection

and

10 Airplane Scale models I had built

What was I thinking. Thank God that in the dream the fire Dept was able to stop the fire from spreading to the house. But it got me thinking about how I would act in an emergency. My question to you is....

Have you ever had a dream like this where you learned an important lesson in life?

Many times. I could tell you of a few dreams I have had that would absolutely blow you away..years ago tho...like dreaming about a time and place that is in your future, but you don't realize it at the time because you don't recognize the place, and you don't 'exactly' recognize the person in the deam...older ect. Then, years later...you are there..you instantly recognize the place as if you had been there before, but know that you have never been to the state, area or what have you.

I have had dreams simular to what you are describing...they were when I was much younger, and went away when I got out on my own...I believe the last one was soon after I went in military service in 1949. I believe it has something to do with insecurity. After I got out on my own, and discovered I didn't need ma and pa to help me along each day, I didn't dream those anymore...I did have a bunch of "night mares" tho, from time to time...probably another symptom of insecurity at certain times. Today, if I dream, its about pleasant things...I create a time and place in my minds eye, and drop off to slumberland with this on my mind...very peacefull.

I have had dreams about things that would happened in the future and they did happen. I know because I would get the feeling of deja vu.

Then, I will have dreams about certain people. One of my old PE coaches from high school just died, and I haven't spoke to him since I graduated and he was the best. I had a dream that he was alive and still his cheery self. I knew that dream was telling me that I missed him and wished I could have talk to him before he died.
