I want to save some movie files that are over 700MB in size on to a CDR.
Is there a way to split these up onto two disk, or compress?
Any suggestions are welcome:D

MPEG or AVI? and what MPEG (1 or 2) and what AVI (what codec)?
For MPEG, TMPGenc splits files among (many) other things.
For AVI, as long as the codec is supported try VirtualDUB.

bassman,
I have asked about larger size CD's, but I was told they only go to 700MB? If you know where to get them , please let me know.
One file I have is 893MB;)

Get VirtualDUB (http://www.virtualdub.org/). It's free and will do what you want. Check VCDHELP (http://www.vcdhelp.com) for how to split a video file with it. It's easy :)
