Hi All .
My friend has an old Sis Vga. He lost the drivers, and forced to format his Pc due to a virus. Can someone help providing a web site where we can find drivers for his 2 or 4 MB PCI Sis VGA?
The model number of the VGA is lost... The web site of the Sis does not contain drivers for old PCI VGA.
Any help is highly appreciated.

you need to look very carefully on the card for ( manufacturer , FCC ID # , or on the major chip some kind of SIS # like under GPU on this link.
http://www.sis.com/products/
the fcc is here
http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/
or hows does windows ID it ??
can you get the basics installed then look in the display control panel or wizard
you can even try "dxdiag"

Try running SiSoft Sandra (http://www.sisoftware.demon.co.uk), its "AGP/PCI bus information" module can give you the info on your videocard even without the drivers installed (look for "OEM device name").
Good luck :)

Go here (http://www.driverguide.com/) and login.

Don't do the new beta search.

See if you can match up any numbers on the card...:)

Do "Edit/Find on this page" for 86C201 :)

Edit: You need a driverguide.com username for this too. You should have followed Speedo's advice ;)

Geeez, this is the first VGA chip SiS ever produced. Yet still, the drivers are available, albeit well hidden, from www.sis.com.
