Can anyone advise

What I would like to do is to hold a video confrence between two computers connected directly by a telephone line (no ISP internet connection).

The idea is that I could directly dial a computer and then start a confrence.

Is this possible ? what software do you suggest ?

All of the software that I have looked at seems to require a connection to your ISP first.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated

Thanks

Kurt, I have a friend that I play Quake 3 with over the Phone, NO ISP involved. He is here in town and does not have an ISP.

I use WIN 2000 pro, and set up a dial in account for him. He dials my modem, it authenticates him, and presto, he is local to my machine. He can also access anything I have set up to share.

I belive this is called remote networking.

You will be limited to 33k, even with 56k modems for reasons beyond this post. But it should work.

Dialing in is just like being on my LAN, I have never done video confrencing over 33k, but it might work.
