Depends. I would burn everything onto a CD because it has more space and cheaper media.

What type of burner software do you have, and does it have a backup program?

If not, what I did was format a blank CD in Direct CD and used it as a floppy. I sent all my data onto the CDs and used it as backup.

Welcome to SysOpt!

Which Windows version are you using? Is MS Backup present in Accessories? Use it to create a backup image to Direct CD or to HDD and then burn it with CD Creator.

If you want to create your own recovery disk, then you'll need Ghost or Drive Image. I use Drive Image with Nero to create bootable restore CDs for my Dell workstations. A full install with Win2k and all my programs are restored in about 10mins from boot to login. That sure beats the heck out of reinstalling win2k manually on each one. :D
