Which burning software is compatible with this unit:
Samsung 16x10x32?
I should tell you I bought the unit from ebay, and it did not come with software. I've already emailed Samsung, but haven't received a response yet.

I installed this in my daughters computer:
Celeron 433 MMX,
in place of a Wearms 8x4x32. I had Easy CD Creator already on and when I went to use the new Samsung, it said unit was not supported and to reinstall software. I tried that twice and still no support. Next I tried Nero 5.5 same result. I even tried and older version Nero 5 that I have and still no support? Nero says to go to web site and purchase full version? I didn't see any new versions?

Daughter desperately wants to make her own cd's please somebody help?

PS: I was in the middle of downloading a couple of different burning softwares from kaza but, then I had to go to work. I'll check them out when I get home.

If you are downloading anything from Kazaa, make sure your virus definitions are up to date. I'm serious. Kazaa is infested with virii.

If the CDR is good, any software which supports burn-proof tech should work. EZ CD 4 and Nero 4 qualify.

After trying to use the Nero 5 it said, This version of nero is only compatible with TDK burners? How is it then it would be compatible with all burners??

Well this explains this part:

Neros definitely is compatible with a lot of drives. It looks like your drive is on their list.

http://www.nero.com

Look under products - supported recorders

Did you get your nero with a TDK drive?

yes & no
nero 5 came from a buddy who bought a tdk.
nero 5.5 came when I bought a cyberdine.

It looks like I can upgrade my 5.5 to a full version from nero for $19.00.

All's well that ends well!!
I was able to use Stomp Max burn software I got through Kasaa. I know the risks, but I was desperate. The software looks great very easy to use, great for teens!
Tech support from Samsung returned my email this morning saying that easy cd creator will work........wrong my copy or should I say "version" didn't.
Anyhow burner's working, Daughter's extremely happy, and my pocket book is not empty...yahoo!!:t
