My friend installed the HDD managing utility (start menu + multiboot) called "HDD Wizard".
It overwrited the first 1024 sectors and has its own FAT.
To get rid of this proggy we formatted it - no help;
We re-fdisked it - no help;
How to delete this proggy from the first 1024 sectors and restore FAT? The data there is not valuable anymore.

BTW, the HDD Wizard has not the un-installation feature (:)).

Sorry, Bill. I guess I pressed "enter" a little before you did. hehehe

Heck I used Zap tonite to blast out xp and install win98. I don't know why the guy didn't want xp, but the customer is always right even when he's wrong. hehehe "zapping" sure beats removing the ntfs partitions manually, though. :D

Considering that it takes aboyt an hour to do a full low-level format, MK, Zap is a real time-saver. :)
