Please give feed back...

I have an old 166 mhz pentium...I mostly use it for the net...Im going to build a new PC soon as was jist wondering if it will change anything as far as my internet connection speed.. I dont see how it would but thats why Im asking..I currently have a 56k modem and 128 megs of ram...No DSL or Cable available..I usually gat a connection of about 41 kbps to 43..Any suggestions before I start?

New pc will have nothing to do with connection speed. However, a faster pc will be able to process what it receives much better.
