I'm planning to buy a case and a monitor, hence resulting in extremely ridiculous shipping charges at many places. Anybody know of a good place to shop with free shipping ?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Anybody know of a good place to shop with free shipping ? Thanks. magk9 07-20-1999, 05:53 PM That WOULD be great!! Good luck tho'! Roy 07-20-1999, 07:22 PM You will pay for shipping, one way or another. I like to shop at www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) . Look for the best price and then check the shipping. Sometimes they build a little "handling" charge into what they blame on UPS. A higher base price and truthful shipping charges sometimes is best. toms111 07-20-1999, 07:40 PM Free shipping and pretty good prices on monitors: http://www.virtual-world.com/ [This message has been edited by toms111 (edited 07-20-99).] KillerBug 07-20-1999, 08:10 PM A link for that: http://www.virtual-world.com/ Not bad for free shipping, hell, not bad for shipping charged. AuraEdge 07-20-1999, 09:11 PM Not to be a jerk or anything, but why dont you just go to a store and get what you want? U-96 07-21-1999, 04:53 AM Dabs Direct www.dabs.co.uk (http://www.dabs.co.uk) gives free shipping for online orders, but UK orders only I am afraid. Not the cheapest place on the planet, but their service is good in my experience. Prices fluctuate daily, so keep checking. I ordered an AOpen HX08 full tower case, and all the stuff to go in it, gross weight about 25kgs. Hate to think what that would have cost me by courier. Even though I am in a town of 175,000, I still buy online as much as possible because I can easily save 30-50% or even more. The markups here are terrible. And I appreciate every vendor that charges free shipping or at least honest shipping prices. Ygor 07-22-1999, 03:16 PM Here's one more. I only used them once, but they shipped the fastest among the orders I placed! www.Onsale.com (http://www.Onsale.com) [This message has been edited by Ygor (edited 07-22-99).] gradius 07-22-1999, 06:06 PM I'll agree with Joel. I am such an online buyer freak, that I buy most everything online. I live in a town of about 30,000, and going to the local computer shop is a joke. They wanted to charge my $50 for an ATX power supply! I go to Pricewatch for all my computer needs, and ebay for basically everything else. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I save so much more money (even with shipping) and I don't have to deal with the idiots in my town http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif SysOpt.com
