I've recently bought a zip drive from Gogocity & they were very quick in despatching goods. Only drawback seem to be that most firms won't accept Visa or Mastercard on international orders & sending money by wire adds to the cost. Also I'm not sure if Value Added Tax may be payable on imports.

I once got a $25 svideo cable in 4 days from the US (i think it was svideo.com) and postage was free.

Ordered 4 LCD monitors from compgeeks the other day & postage was only $61, its by USPS mail so could take up to a month (that doesnt bother me), however what does bother me is that according to my account status on their site they havent shipped them yet (a week later).

I dont know if I'll be charged VAT or other taxes but even if I'm charged 20% or more I'll still save a lot.

With regard to VAT on goods, have a look at the Customs website (http://www.hmce.gov.uk/public/shopping/shopping.htm)

when i have orderd from the usa the goods at the check out

have said no tax to pay.

and i suppose i could have been lucky, becouse according

to the customs web, i should have been charged any tax on
delivery.
