A new JPEG virus will be soon spreading the net!!!
It that a BS? How can a virus be executed, if JPEG is a data?

I read about this yesterday, apparently the virus injects itself into digital data, and executes when the carrier file is opened, it's not expected to cause too much damage worldwide and as the virus companies already know about it there shoud already be a dat file to cover it, a NAV update file came out already.

I know that a program (a virus) is working when it is executable (it's logically). If something will be written in data (as a jpeg file), then this virus body will be interpreted as data, and no more.
Do you understand my thought?

Huh, it is not I thought about. The virus itself will be spreaded separately. It just interprets a data in JPEG as the plan of his "deeds", like Word opens it's documents.
That is not dangerous, i think...
