Sounds pretty weird to me. I always thought a .jpg was just like a compressed bitmap. The anology I always invisioned is a picture that is mapped by sequential pixtels of the same color being stored as a code shorter then the length of the origional subset which gives it compression. If it is more like a ray traced file format like a PovRay or .dfx file then it certainly could be imbedded with hostile code. I certainly am more interested in how a jpeg is made after reading this article. This is the kind of cyber threat that could wreak havoc on an already disgusting situation. :(
