I just added a 3rd cd-rom to my computer and it's not in "My Computer", but, is in the device manager and in the bios and everywhere else I check. The jumper is set right, as a slave. When I use diskmgmt.msc in XP, it's there. XP does see the other 2, CD-RW and DVD. I need alittle help Please :o)

Try the cdrom drive by itself on the second IDE. if it works, then you know it's a configuration problem. Check your hdd jumpers. some have different settings for single drives and masters with slaves. check the manufacturer's website to verify hdd jumpers.:D

My hard drive is hooked up to my IDE Raid slot 3 and my other cdrom, dvd etc.. are on IDE 1 & 2. I an using a ABIT KR7A-RAID motherboard, maybe that will help. The cd-rom in question came out of a working spare computer I have in my garage. So I know it works. Can I put a cd-rom on the RAID controller?
You can't put CD-ROM on RAID controller.
Try "playing" with the jumpers a little.
