Well, you totally stomped my third computer's 3dMark2001SE scores. :) Its a Dell Dimension XPS R350 and as most of us know, overclocking options are crippled on Dell boards. The mobo is based on the old Intel SE440BX mobo, but no overclocking fsb for me. CPUCool, SoftFSB doesn't work.

In anycase, I got a score of 1054 marks. But at least I was ABLE to run the 3dMark. The only old ATI 8MB Rage card couldn't even begin the benchmark heh heh.
Dell Pentium II-350MHz (Dell BIOS A13)
384MB generic PC100 RAM
ATI Radeon 7200 (driver 4.13.9009) at 155core/155mem
Viewsonic 15EX monitor

Here's the Mad Onion link (http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=2899208) to compare if you'd like.

Oops. It looks like this particular benchmark is kinda old. Will need to upload a newer one with the Radeon 7200 slightly overclocked some.

I dont think you can post your 3d mark score here. you need to go to the benchmarking section.

I've updated the results for my Dell PII-350 using a Radeon 7200 video card. You can compare here (http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=3690007[/url). Since I really don't use this computer too much, I'm using the ATI driver version 4.13.9016 with the Radeon overclocked from 155/155 to 182/182.
Heh, I push my 3dMark2001SE score up from 1054 to 1079. Not much better is it?
Maybe I need to use ATI's new CATALYST drivers...or just face it that my PII just doesn't have it. :D

I have 3300 on such setup: P3-800@1GHz (166MHz FSB) + 512MB SDR + GF2MX400 64MB SDR.
My friend has 1400 on a similar setup, except the GPU is a GF2MX200 32MB SDR.

Well you gotta admit that benchmarks are benchmarks or rather, synthetic numbers. The only reason why anyone really cares about them is because people need a barometer to which they can compare their system with someone elses. Well, that might be an oversimplification. But the fact is, if you're happy with the performance you're getting out of your current video card with the games you play, then there isn't any compelling reason for you to buy a new video card.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I have one particular friend who is still using a Diamond Stealth S540 video card. He loves it and won't upgrade until a game he absolutely has to play doesn't run on it. It blows me away that he's playing Jedi Outcast with all the details turned down and he's enjoying the game. To each his own...

3DMark2001SE results depend on the resolution and color depth settings.

On my Hercules Geforce2 MX I got 5024 on the lowest setting (640x480, 16bit color), 4085 at my normal game setting(800x600, 32 bit color), and 3089 at my normal desktop setting (1024x768, 32bit color).

BTW this is still a great card when playing games at 800x600 with 32 bit color. Still, it sucks to think that I paid $150 almost 2 years ago when it came out.

I forgot to mention my system specs:

Iwill kk266plus (KT133a)
Athlon (145 MHz fsb x 9.5 = 1378 MHz)
Hercules Geforce2 MX (210 MHz memory)
Kingmax PC150 (145 Mhz, max settings)

Since I got 3089 with this system, your low scores seem to scale with the overall system speed.

VisionTek G3 Original @stock core/mem

7019 in 3dmark2001se.

Can get higher but its summer. Gonna run this 1.5 ragged. Getting some pc1066 hence the lowsy 256mb pc800 I have. getting rid of that for 512mb! Then I can get my 1.5@1.8 with x4 and turbo! Then I wanna try bumping the vid core and mem, to see what I get out of it. Hopeing for 8000 3d-marks.

Asus P4S533 Mobo
256mb PC2700 DDR RAM
80Gb Maxtor D540X HDD
20Gb Maxtor D540X HDD
GeForce4 Ti4400 - Standard clock speeds

3DMARK2001SE Score at default settings
(1024x768x32 or whatever it is) = 10130

Before I got this mobo, same setup but with 756Mb of PC133 gave me 8600 . . .I reckon more DDR RAM and a bit more tweaking and I can get this to over 11000.:D

Xp's a big help but dont expect miracles with a Rad 7500. The vids gonna be the bottle kneck then. I'd be looking at that new version of the radeon 8500 the xt or what ever, or get the now way cheaper original 8500. I hear the new ones got more features and stuff though and a faster core/mem kinda a revision like the G4 is to the G3. Not a whole new deal but a bumping up.:t

Pretty good, if I run my P4 at 2.0Ghz I get about 9500 so I'd say your results are similar to mine . . .If you can overclock yours to 2.2 or higher you'll be getting well into 10,000
