Hello all.
I recently found a MK6014MAP 6Gb mobile HDD (Toshiba). It has the same interface as a PCI's. Question is, can I use this on my desktop? Thanks....
Many IDE mobile hardidsks will work fine with desktops. I once used small 1.2GB mobile HD just fine for couple of months till I lost it

Thanks ND. But this particular HD has a PCI interface... like it's mounted on a PCI card...

when you say lost do you mean the HDD died or you misplaced it?
I have had a external hdd (13.9) nearly two years with not problem, I use it to transfer big files from my notebook (also had for two years HDD only 6gig) to my desktop.
Actually I want to get another HDD but am unsure about the size.........60,80,100,120? The current HDD I have is 40 gigs 7200rpm.
I was also wondering if I can get a USB 2 adapter for the external HDD (it is a sarotech)
