There's a new BIOS for the KT333 boards (as of now, 6/13/02, only available from the Tawainese website, www.soyo.com.tw (http://www.soyo.com.tw) ). In the "fixes" incorporated into this new BIOS, kxpb2aa2, they say they've fixed a problem with the thermal shutdown. I generally don't flash the BIOS unless I'm having problems with the older version but, because this involved emergency shutdown issues, I reckoned I should. For the first time, I used the windows-based BIOS flashing software downloadable from the SOYO website. It sure is more convenient than the DOS flashing program (also available at the same website). I flashed my board with the new BIOS and everything still works.
I'm interested in hearing from folks with the Platinum version whether they've managed to get their CF/SM reader Bayone box to boot upconsistently.
