Rat 01-20-2001, 10:19 AM Here's a link to an add-on kit. I know it's not what your'e looking for, but it's an option rather than buying a new monitor. http://www.touchscreens.com/external_crt.shtml Rat... [This message has been edited by Rat (edited 01-20-2001).] DVNT1 01-20-2001, 11:04 AM Thanks for the link. I didn't know those existed. I really want/need a complete unit. I'm considering putting many of these within a manufacturing environment for employees to quickly get to an Intranet and various other things while within the plant. [This message has been edited by DVNT1 (edited 01-20-2001).] JimG 01-20-2001, 02:29 PM Over the summer, I was working for a systems integration company. One division built computer systems for manufacturing environments. I don't know if you need a full PC, or just the monitor, but you might want to take a look here (http://www.opstation.com) . The specific page I was looking at with touch screens is this one (http://www.opstation.com/prodcharts/oppm_conf.htm) Hope this helps. DVNT1 01-20-2001, 03:55 PM Thanks JimG, that's what I'm looking for. Did you ever use these? JimG 01-20-2001, 08:23 PM Unfortunately, no, I never got to use one. I did HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development using dual 21" CRT monitors (which was nice). I saw the guys assembling units with them in it. What I do know about them: They use a special cable for the video signal. I'm pretty sure it goes from a standard 15-pin end (like a normal cable) to what I think is an IEEE 488 connector, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I do know there's some initial calibration work required to get the touch action to work right. After that, it should work fine. Hope this helps. SysOpt.com
