Unless there's a good reason, they leave the threads open, thus they can be added to at any time. A simple reply in the original thread either lets our members know that the problem has been resolved, or that further assistance is still required.

BTW In the upper right corner, you'll find a "search" link, the amount of information that can be found through that resource is staggering, although knowing what to enter into the "search box" isn't always intuitive. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
