I bought a Canon S200 ELPH Digital Camera and it comes with a dinky 8MB Compact Flash Type I Memory card. I wanted to buy a 256MB Compact Flash card and was wondering if there are any differences between brands and specs (speed, etc.)? Aren't all compact flash type I memory cards the same? Best brands to buy and what to look out for? Could there be possibility of incompatibility with my digital camera? Any information on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :D

Check the manual that came with the camera or check the manufacturers web site. They can usually telll you what your cammera can take.

I found this article on an IBM MicroDrive. I know that is Type II, but in the article, the speed of it is compared to multiple type I cards. Enjoy.
The type I cards in the article are :
SanDisk 192MB CompactFlash Type-I
SanDisk Ultra 256MB CompactFlash Type-I
Crucial 128MB CompactFlash Type-I
Kingston 128MB CompactFlash Type-I
