This is an obivous attempt to catch crackers who are guilty of other trespass - they will log the attempt and track them down!

Besides they've done it for a few years now and I don't think anyone has been busted yet due to being in the "contest".

But the truth is, most "real" hackers, and certainly most ill-intentioned hackers are just gonna scoff at this.

I heard about this on the radio. They asked a supposedly expert hacker what he thought and he told them that there was no-chance of winning that money. Why? 'cos you've got to stick to the rules laid down in the competition. He said that it would be easy to hack, but not with the rules as they are ...... so, what was the point again?

Any body know how to use telnet? I just logged on, thats all. Think about it tho, even if you are a "hacker" wouldn't it be worth (people watching out for you specifically) for 50,000 bucks?
