Hi all,

I have the MSI GF3 ti200 pro vt128 (ms-8850) graphics card and i can only seem to get the 21.83 drivers to work on it. I have tried all the later drivers right the way up to the 28.90 drivers. The problem is that 3dmark2001se won't display when benchmarking and most game just give me weird colours.

System spec:

AMD AthlonXP 2000 @ 2000
MSI KT3 Ultra ARU - KT333
256MB Crucial DDR333 (PC2700) RAM @ default
MSI GeForce3 ti200 128mb DDR @ default clock/memory speeds
Creative SB Live 5.1 player
80gb Maxtor Hard disc ATA133, 7,200 rpm, 2mb cache
Mitsumi CD-RW 4809te
Pioneer 106s DVD-Rom
Diamond SupraExpress 56e pro external modem
Samsung 753dfx 17" monitor (1024x768 @ 85Hz)
Realtek 10/100mbps network card

OS =
WinME
Via4in1 4.38
DX8.1

i have also got WinXP pro on this machine and all the drivers right the way up to the latest ones seem fine, no errors at all.

Just woundered if there is anything i can try to get latest drivers to work correctly, if not i'll just keep using the 21.83 drivers they seem to work ok.

Thanx all

RobUK

Do you uninstall your old drivers before you put in the new ones??

I think you need to do this first..

I had the same experience with the G3Ti200 on Win98.

When I switched to WinXP, I could get the 28.32 drivers to work with no problems. I figured it had something to do with the operating system release.

I'm using reference v28.32 right now with my 128MB Palit GeForce3 Ti200, just finished downloading new reference v29.42, gotta try them tomorrow, will post back.
"VisionTek" drivers are plain reference drivers with few pictures changed. Most videocard makers do the same, except Asus, Leadtek, Gainward and few more. In MOST cases, reference drivers should be no different.
