Would think any image editing sw could be used to create cartoons. Paint, PSP, Photoshop (is the industry standard for comics I believe). grimfandango 06-09-2002, 09:32 PM cartoon development software as in 3D modeling software??? Gobi 06-10-2002, 04:14 AM Hi there. I'm not familiar with the american expression about things, but I guess that its a cartoon, like in a cartoon movie, you are trying to make? (Standard cartoon you can make with a pencil and a bunch of paper.. :-) ). Well, I would use freehand, Gimp 1-2-3, paint shop, photoshop, photoimpact, or something similar for the adjustments of the drawings you have made by hand, and scanned into the computer. (Yes, I think this is the best way to do it if you have no big experience with drawing tool before). and then use a animation program to make it move... Like Flash, Adobe Director, Swish, or any other program that you find out there. The taste is like the **** in choosing of resources...divided. :) Yepp, let us know how you manage. Later Gobi. SearchSkillzzz 06-10-2002, 08:36 AM I would like to make a computerized moving cartoon with voice also. qball 06-10-2002, 06:19 PM oh, you mean, animation. The best tool I have used for this is Adobe Premiere, but $$$$. Check this out: http://www.knowledgestorm.com/customers/search.php?qt_type=&qt=animation%20software&col=ks1&st=1&rf=0&nh=50&type=P_A_S&c=Google&n=animation%20software&t=ad $1500-P4 gamer 06-13-2002, 06:49 PM Na, the best is always free. You have heard of Maya right! $3000+ dropped to $1999 this year. How about 3d studio max? The makers of 3d studio max have released a freebe to get everyone going. I'm a huge supporter and love this prog. Learn it and learn it well you will be hooked. Its called G-max and its free! You can reneder all sides of the object at once so no more redrawing. It can also anticipate the next movement in set of frames so only key movements or keyframes are nesseary. This means you only have to manually move the animation about once every 30frames and it will fill in the rest. Great prog. Oh and it also works with game engines. How about useing that new cartoon charictor in Quake III? Done deal with this sweet prog. Has the guides and instrucions along with tutorials= one complete package woth alot of $ but absolutely free! Check it out you wont regret it! http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/ Good luck and have lots of fun I know I do. ;) SearchSkillzzz 06-14-2002, 06:35 AM I'm downloading it now. Thanks, will check it out! Nick CPU 06-14-2002, 03:19 PM I have used Adobe Image Ready for on screen animations. It takes a lot of time though to make your animation. SysOpt.com
