1st Hammer benchmarks!!!

Hey guys, I have just discovered a website where they have posted some Hammer benchmarks!!!

What do you think of them??
I think it´s amazing. An 800Mhz processor giving the same results than a P4-1600 in Quake 3.... WOW!
And don´t forget it´s just a preview, sample or whatever u want to call it.

I hope AMD can catch up to Intel. I think that more people would consider AMD if they marketed there product better.

AMD has really done a fine job with their Athlon processors and most performance junkies know how to read the benchmarks and figure out what processor is the best bang for their bucks. The biggest thing for AMD to be successful is to move into the profitable corporate market as well as improving public awareness. Joe Blow from off the street that knows nothing about motherboards, memory timings and RAID arrays could care less about having 11k+ 3dMarks. They need to know the answer to the question "Is AMD worth my hard earned dollars or is Intel?"

NickCPU is right about improving their marketing, but there is something to be said about longevity as well, something Intel already has. Only time will prove that for AMD so long as they remain in business and continue to release quality products. So jumping off the soapbox, I hope AMD can keep plugging away at Intel. :r
