I want to burn some mp3s onto a cd and I want to be able to play it anywhere. So I am using Nero5 to convert from mp3 to wav. Wav is the only format that will play anywhere right? And second I wanted to make some mp3s from my cd, but it says unexpected file format. They are .cda . Why won't this work? I want to make a cd out of those mp3s and a few songs from that cd.

CDex (http://www.cdex.n3.net/) is useful to convert to and from MP3; it does CD-ripping, MP3->WAV, and WAV->MP3. Your CD-writer software can convert the WAV's for use on a CD.
