I have a dell Inspiron laptop and I bought a pcmcia card for it. I have it hooked up to a Linksys Router BEFSR41. (I hooked up my other computer ok, when I used the floppy for the card it set all my network configurations, like connecting to a router) I started to install the drivers via a floppy. Everything was ok until I forgot to pull the floppy out when restarting the laptop. After that I tried to reinstall and the laptop recognized the card but instead of allowing me to put the floppy in, windows 98 will start downloading drivers (I guess from the hard drive) and then it will start asking for the win98 cd. I went ahead and put the cd in, but i dont think it is setting up right. I want to be able to start over and install from the floppy. any help appreciated!

It needs the Windows CD to finish installing networking drivers. What you can try is Browsing to the C:\Windows\Options\Cabs folder or C:\Windows\System. The drivers may be there.
