Shopping for USB Hub?

Is one USB hub better than another? I've 2 USB devices on my system (external Zip drive & scanner) and am in market for two additional USB interfaced devices (external HD & hotsynch cradle for handheld). Any ideas as to different hubs? I'm running PIII on Abit mobo, Win98se.
