This is probably an age old debate, but what are your thoughts guys and gals?
The reason I am thinking of buying a full product rather than the standard ecd that came with my drive is that I plan to do a lot of music production with Cubase or similar, and write my own backing CDs to play along to with my Fender. Also, wirte CD's of my own work.
As far as I can tell, Easy CD Creator has the most appropriate feature list for my uses, but you don't know till you've tried it!
Any suggestions gratefully received, thanks!

If you have XP, save yourself tons of grief and get Nero. Otherwise, Roxio is fine.

Or go to Roxio's web site and download a REAL XP FULL CODE RE DESIGNED engine. It has become available not very long ago...

I use Nero and have never had any problems with it. There are some major issues with Roxio Easy CD and XP. I've see CDRW and CDROM drives disappear out of device manager after Easy CD is installed. No yellow exclamation point or anything. Totally GONE!! Just uninstalling Easy CD didn't bring them back. I had to do a system restore to get them back. If you ever plan on going to XP, you should get Nero. Like Bill said, it will save you a lot of headaches. I'm getting a headache just thinking about it. LOL

Not any more (I think!)
There has been a new release for XP users only!

I have Win ME and Roxio came preinstalled on my computer. I like it and it hasn't given me any problems with or without any patches.

Thanks for your replies guys. I run 98SE (deliberately) so no XP issues come into play. I would probably lean towards Roxio as I have been familiar with Easy CD for years, unless there is a good reason not to with what I want to do with it (see first post in thread).
Thanks again,
Graeme
