I tried out overburning and its wonderful, but my only concer is can it damage my drive like nero says? What are the drawbacks of doing this?

YOu can damage the burner by forceing the laser track to go so far inward (towards the center of disk) and you can also damage the cdrom that reads it by haveing it go so far inward to read the data. Buddy of mune does alot of vcd's. He did that once and put in his $400 dvd player. Now it only whirs and says no disc even when a regular stamped dvd is inserted. Beware!;)
