Hi welcome to Sysopt..
:t

A geforce2 ti would be way better than the ati.....and would work good on your system..you may want to get more ram.

You monitor should be ok. it'll probably be recognized as a plug and play monitor anyways. :D

Your monitor will have upper limits for the resolution and refresh rate, however, there shouldn't be a problem finding a setting within the capability of your monitor. Note that your card will have a limit that cannot be exceeded (i.e. if you have the proper drivers, there will not even appear a setting above the capacity of video card). However, this is not alway true of the monitor, it may be possible to set a resolution / refresh rate that will actually damage the monitor.

BTW, I wouldn't necessarily give up on the Radeon. The "Made by ATI" cards are good quality / good performance and offer better 2D quality.

Sure it will work.I have an old LG monitor(3-4 years old).. I think you wont be able to go more than 1020x768 res.
Enjoy your new card..
